On November 28, we invited students and their families to an event to recognize the efforts and celebrate the achievements of the Athabasca students who are studying in the south. This year’s event featured student Gessicka Laliberte, who was Optek’s summer student in 2024, as a guest speaker. She spoke about her experiences as a student and the challenges she faced as she pursued her degree. We are thrilled that Jessica is graduating this year and will be teaching in the fall!
